In August 2009 some 'willing hands' set off to visit the projects that Willing Hands support.

The 5 volunteers stayed at Resurrection House the Haven working with the children for the bulk of their stay but visited Addo to see the Projects there too. The work at Resurrection House is varied and very rewarding. The children enjoy having more people to play with them and enjoy having some extra cuddles and kisses too. While we were there the children enjoyed learning some new songs and relearning some old favourites such as sing a rainbow and the little green frog with Mama Anne. The volunteers also had the great pleasure of accompanying the children to a photographer to have photos taken for this years Haven Calendar. This calendar is now on sale see website for details on how to donate for one or three of these unique gifts!

At Addo we were delighted to be able to see how our funding is enabling The Tembulathu Trust to grow and increase their work with the young people in the local High School. Anne was brought to tears when a group of young people named the Abstinance Group sang and danced for Willing Hands to show what they have been doing at their group meetings. We are hoping to have a dvd of the young people available soon.

This years trip flew by and we are still trying to process everything that happened...more details of this trip will follow so keep checking the website!
